Information We Collect
ScamGuard PK collects minimal information to provide our service:
- URLs you submit for scanning: We store the URLs you scan along with the analysis results to build our scam database and serve cached results to other users.
- Community reports: If you submit a report about a store, we store the report type and description you provide. Reports are anonymous — we do not collect your name or email.
- Local storage data: We store your scan history and language preference in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device.
- Analytics: We use standard web analytics to understand how our service is used. This includes anonymized data such as page views, device type, and approximate location (country level).
How We Use Your Information
- To provide scan results and scam analysis
- To improve our AI detection accuracy
- To build and maintain our scam database for the benefit of all users
Cookies & Affiliate Links
ScamGuard PK uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the site. We may also display affiliate links and banners (for example, Daraz offers). If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. These links may set cookies controlled by the destination merchant, governed by that merchant's own privacy policy.
Third-Party Services
ScamGuard PK uses the following third-party services:
- Google Gemini AI: For analyzing store legitimacy. URLs you submit are processed through Google's AI services.
- Supabase: For storing scan results and reports in our database.
- Vercel: For hosting and serving the application.
Data Retention
Scan results are retained indefinitely to build our scam database. Community reports are retained indefinitely to help protect other consumers. You can clear your local scan history at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.
Your Rights
You have the right to request deletion of any data associated with a specific URL you submitted. Contact us at support@scamguard.pk to make a data deletion request.
